Eugene Murphy

A message from Eugene:

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce that I am leaving GW Osteopathy after an amazing four and a half years. What a journey it has been: it started off right in the middle of lockdown during the pandemic in 2020.”

“I have been very fortunate to have worked with Gemma and the team who have given me amazing support and friendship over the years. I want to thank them all, especially Gemma – she puts her heart and soul into running an amazing clinic for her staff and patients.”

“I would also like to thank my lovely patients for their continuous support over the years. I’ve been spending time with David recently and would recommend him to any of you.”

“We are moving back to Ireland to start a new life which is very exciting for me and my family. Lots of exciting new adventures await us there. In the very near future I hope to open my clinic over there.”

Eugene graduated from the London School of Osteopathy with a Masters in Osteopathy in 2016. He is a highly motivated and enthusiastic Osteopath, who previously worked as a Sports Massage Therapist, Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer and has over 16 years experience in a variety of roles within the health and fitness industry. Eugene currently lectures to undergraduate students at the London School of Osteopathy.

He likes to forge strong relationships with patients, to help motivate and empower them with knowledge about their health conditions, and to help them to find a way to manage their injuries and improve their quality of life. Eugene tends to treat patients structurally and likes to use breathing exercises to help ease the effects of stress and anxiety to help maximise the benefits of treatments. He likes to encourage patients to be active whether that involves going for a short walk, swimming, dancing or whatever. Movement is medicine.

Eugene is a passionate sportsperson and has played Gaelic football for clubs in UK, US and Ireland. He is an avid runner and competed up to National level in Athletics on many occasions. He currently enjoys running half and full marathons, with a best time of 2’59” and in the past has completed full and 70.3 Iron-man triathlons. He understands, from personal experience, how frustrating injuries can be but that it is also vital to have a well managed, active rehab program to enable us to recover to our full potential.

He also enjoy recreational pastimes such mountain biking, swimming and skiing.
